Our teaching staff has a vital role to play in ensuring that the needs of all students are met.

We have a team of experienced teaching Assistances (TAs) who are each assigned to a designated faculty or subject area. They support pupils within their mainstream lessons, required to enable them to access the curriculum and experience success.

It is also recognized that some pupils require more intensive programs to boost their literacy or numeracy skills. This entitlement is delivered through small group work or on a one-to-one basis. Structured teaching of spelling and reading skills is provided and progress is carefully monitored. Students with social, emotional, or behavioral problems may have a social inclusion plan to help them to manage their behavior. TAs and staff work together to ensure that vulnerable or disaffected pupils feel valued and supported
